Ballarat was chosen for a promotional video called "Rain" for a Japanese band called 'Love Psychedelico.' The band are two 2 singers, Kumi (female) and Naoki (male) and they sing rock songs in English about themes of love and peace. Ballarat was chosen because of the city's beautiful historic buildings and arty vibe.

Australian country music superstar Tania Kernaghan came to Ballarat to shoot her latest music video

Local company Collins Media Advertising recently secured the contract to produce the large scale production and chose Ballarat as the location. "We'll be shooting for most of the morning in central Ballarat, then off to Eildon Springs Merino Sheep homestead in Waubra for the rest of the day, it's a big production and we're delighted to be able to film it in the Ballarat area" explained Walt Collins, Producer.
